Wednesday morning our team participated in training with Search and Rescue dogs, both live search and cadaver search, at the Neil Armstrong airport and then our team participated with St Marys City & St Marys Twp Fire Depts on Careflight landing zone training in the evening.

Our Team joined area firefighters and farmers for the 2023 Auglaize County Ag Safety Day at the Auglaize County Fairgrounds today. Classes discussed potential hazards and safety awareness for grain bins and silos, farm machinery, utilities on the farm including electricity and propane, and basic first aid on the farm. We also prepared the lunch meal.

In preparation for the POTENTIAL for severe weather Wednesday in our county…

My office has completed the damage survey from April 1st as of yesterday, April 3. All of the data was forwarded and discussed with the NWS Wilmington office. That office is currently finishing up damage assessment surveys in multiple counties but will hopefully have final determinations of straight line winds and/or tornado confirmation for the impacted areas of Auglaize County besides the already confirmed tornado outside of Wapak.

For any NEW damage resulting from the potential storms tomorrow, please post them on this page or our Auglaize County CERT page, dm this page or the CERT page or simply tag us on your photos/comments.
…..the NWS works directly with my office when conducting storm damage surveys, so the more info of storm damage locations that I have in hand, the “quicker” the assessments can be completed.
…..I will be out conducting storm damage along with my CERT Team. We take ground level pictures as well as drone images, in rural areas as well as city/village.
